JUNE SUMMER AND THE FIRE ELEMENT

June opens the door to summer, the season of warmth, light, and expansion.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, summer is ruled by the Fire element and connected to the Heart. Fire brings joy, passion, connection, creativity, and the desire to be seen and share life with others.

When Fire is balanced, we feel open, warm, expressive, playful, and alive. When Fire is too much, we may feel anxious, scattered, overheated, restless, overstimulated, or emotionally burned out.

Summer reminds us that joy also needs grounding. This is the season to let yourself bloom, but not burn. To say yes to connection, but also protect your peace. To enjoy the light, but remember your breath.

Simple summer practices from a TCM-inspired perspective:

Wake a little earlier and enjoy the morning light

Choose cooling foods like cucumber, watermelon, mint, leafy greens, berries, and citrus

Stay hydrated, but avoid too many iced drinks if they upset your digestion

Move your body, but soften the intensity during extreme heat

Make space for laughter, friendship, music, and beauty

Rest when your nervous system feels overstimulated

Practice cooling breaths, gentle yoga, and heart-centered meditation

Reminder for this Summer -We dont need to dim our fire. We need to tend it wisely.

All With LOVE
