Setting up your space

The space you practice in matters.

Not because it needs to be perfect… but because it holds you.

It tells your body, you can soften here.

You can land. You can stay.

Keep it simple

You don’t need a full studio or anything elaborate.

Just a small corner that feels intentional:

a mat or a blanket

a cushion or pillow

maybe a candle, a plant, or something natural

Enough to signal: this is a place I come back to.

Clear the noise

Your environment affects your mind more than you think.

If you can, soften the space:

dim the lights

reduce clutter

silence notifications

let the room feel a little quieter

You’re not creating silence… you’re making space for it.

Let it feel like you

This isn’t about aesthetics. It’s about connection.

Add what grounds you:

a scent you love

music that settles your system

objects that carry meaning

Your space should feel lived in, not staged.

Consistency over perfection

Try to return to the same spot, even if it’s small.

Over time, your body will recognize it.

You’ll sit down and something in you will already start to settle.

That’s the power of repetition.

It doesn’t have to be ideal

Some days it will be noisy.

Some days it won’t feel calm at all.

Still sit. Still show up.

The space doesn’t create the practice…

but it supports it.

A quiet invitation

Let your space be less about how it looks,

and more about how it feels.

A place where nothing is required of you.

A place where you can return, again and again,

to your breath, your body, your self.
