Returning to Practice

Ashtanga teaches you the same thing, over and over:

Show up.

Not when it’s easy.

Not when you feel inspired.

Just… show up.

Some days the body feels open.

Some days it doesn’t.

Some days the mind is steady.

Most days it’s not.

Still, you begin.

Breath by breath.

Movement by movement.

There’s no performance here.

No perfect version you’re trying to reach.

Just a quiet discipline.

A returning.

And somewhere in the repetition,

you start to notice—

it’s not about mastering the practice.

It’s about meeting yourself,

exactly as you are,

again and again.
